The spot is arranged close to the bank of Kushiara stream in Sunamganj District. It is at Pailgaon Union under Jagannathpur Upazila. History of this spot: Thousand years prior, decedents of the Pal Dynasty lived here. As time goes, the "Das" family had their spot. Pir Mohammad Badsha (Muslim Rulers) gave them the title – "Chowdhury". Slam and Sreeram were two relatives of this bloodline

One of the remarkable old structures of Jagannathpur in Sunamganj is the Pailgaon Zamindar Bari. It is a whopping 300 years old palace established on 5.5 acres of land. This zamindar bari belonged to a family and the last person of the family was Brajendra Narayan Chowdhury. He was also a famous politician of that time and member of the congress of Sylhet. These factors make the Zamindar bari very interesting and historic.

The zamindar Bari has a lot of history attached to it. Apparently descendants of the Pal Dynasty lived here. And as time went on, “Das” family took their place. Pir Mohammad Badsha gave them the title “Chowdhury” and Ram and Sreeram were also descendants of the bloodline. Such a place that carried so much legacy and now carries so much history should be visited by everyone!

It's not very far from Dhaka, and transportation is also not as inconvenient so I'd say it's a good tourist place and everyone should pay at least one visit there. 8/10 recommended.
