What Noman Abdullah saying about this place:
We, a group of friends, had to take permission from the forest department of Mongla to visit this beautiful Putney Island because of the fish sanctuaries there. We hired a trawler from Mongla to Hiran point to go to the island. We enjoyed a mind-boggling sunset there which we'll remember always.

Putney Island is an island in the Khulna district of Bangladesh, also known as Dwipchar to the locals. The island of Putney at the mouth of the Arpangasia River and the Bay of Bengal through the Sundarbans.
EditDeep forest on one side and vast beach-like area on the other and dense green meadows along the canals in the middle with mind-blowing scenes. The morning sun is bright and again in the afternoon, the sun sets at the mouth of the Bay of Bengal.
EditIt is also known as Dwipchar to the locals. And recently Putney Island is re-named as Bangabandhu Char in the respect of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
EditSome areas of Putney Island near Sundarbans was declared as a fish sanctuary. So they are the restricted areas. due to the abundance of crabs here, many people go to collect crabs. And just as there are deer in the deep forest, there are also fish in the canals. However, there are no tigers on the island.
EditYou can go to Putney Island through Dublar Char and you can also go through Hiran Point. In other words, you can take a trawler from Mongla in Bagerhat to Hiran Point or Dublar Char to go Putney Island. To get to the island, you must first get permission from the forest department office in Mongla or the forest department office in Hiron Point.
EditWe see private islands and survival islands in Hollywood movies. Putney island is also similar to them. At the high tide time, the whole area is floating and at low tide, the whole area is a shelf.
EditIt's a very beautiful island to spend some quality time with nature along with friends or loved ones. Locally the island is known as Dwipchar. And recently the place has been named after Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as Bangabandhu Char. I found the island very majestic. It’s full of magic with white sands and blue clean water. Felt heavenly with clear blue sky. The green trees made me feel the beautiful nature of our country.

Putney Island is a petite-island in Khulna district. It's one of the most beautiful green islands in Bangladesh in the midst of the mighty Sundarbans. There are many canals here. During high tides, the whole area is floating. So one shouldn’t visit this place that time. Otherwise this place is wonderful enough to bring euphoria to one's soul.
