Gandhi Ashram is situated at Hatia village of Jhaugora union of Melandaha upazila in Jamalpur. It's a historical sanctuary owning a beautiful cottage as the sign of glorious past before 1947. The Freedom Struggle Museum stands just alongside it. The place will give you great historical knowledge. Being inspired by Gandhi Ji's movement, Nasir Uddin Sarker of Jamarpur had built it here.

Jamalpur Gandhi Ashram was established in 1903 following the principles of non-violence and non-cooperation of Mahatma Gandhi. After the partition in 1947, the ashram just could save its office cottage. Other buildings were demolished. With the history of our liberation war, the Freedom Struggle Museum was established beside the ashram in 2007.
