Dhuppani Waterfall is located at Orachhari (hilly village) in Farua Union of Bilachhari Upazila in Rangamati.

Name significance of Dhuppani Waterfall

In Tanchanga, “Dup” means white and “Pani (water) means water. Basically the water of this Waterfall is clear when its water falls from a very high place it is only seen as white.

The Waterfall became popular in 2000. A Buddhist Monk has been meditating under the Waterfall since 2000. At first he meditated day and night in this Waterfall for about 3 months. Later, some locals went to serve the Monk at certain times of the day then the Waterfall becomes known to the public.

1. Dhuppani waterfalls is one of the most beautiful and amazing waterfalls in Bangladesh. It is situated in Bilaichhari in Rangamati district. In the local tribal language Dup means white and pani means water. The crystal clear water of the fountain falls from a very high place and it looks white. The height of the waterfalls is almost 300 ft. The roaring sound of water falling from the high altitude can be heard from 2 km distance. The mesmerizing beauty of the falls increases more during the monsoon.

2. The hidden gem of nature, Dhuppani waterfalls remained unnoticed for a long time. A Buddhist monk used to meditate under the waterfalls for several months. The local people went to serve him at certain times in a day,hence the fountain became familiar to people. There is a small cave hidden inside the waterfall,which can not be seen from a distance. The cave is highly popular among the tourists. There are several wild animals in the fountain area, including deer,snakes, wild boar and wild cats.
