Kottakkunnu is a popular Malappuram tourist destination known for the ruins of an ancient fort. The fort, which was built on the summit of a cantonment hill, belonged to the Kozhikode Zamorins (monarchs). Famous monuments such as Vettakkorumakan can be found within the fort.
EditAngadipuram is around 20 kilometers away; Tirur is about 30 kilometers away; and Kozhikode is about 50 kilometers away. Calicut International Airport is roughly 25 kilometers away, and Kannur International Airport is about 140 kilometers away.
EditKottakkunnu's attractions include a Children's Park, Adventure Park, Cycle Track, Arangu Open Air Auditorium, 9D Theater, Balloon Park, and Bumper Park. There are around 30 rides at the park, so kids will have a great time. On weekends and festival days, there is a musical fountain and a laser display.
