It's difficult to see any green in Old Dhaka. Shahid Matiur Shishu Park in Gulistan, also known as Gulistan Park, is one of the few areas in the old city where people may get close to nature.

Through the tunnel, a great variety of sharks and other large animals could be seen. The stingray encounter was equally enjoyable.

Foreign travelers appear to be required to hire a guide. If at all possible, avoid the guide; ours provided no value and the park is really safe. Furthermore, as suggested in our guesthouse, the guide cost was substantially lower at the park entry.
