Moose Lake Agate and Geological Center is located near Moose Lake, MN, in Carlton County, Minnesota, USA. As part of the park, you will find hiking trails of 5.5 miles, Echo Lake, wildlife ponds, paved trails to Moose Lake and Willard Munger State Trail, and Agate/Geological Interpretive Center, located inside the park office. It is possible to bike along the widened shoulder of County Highway 137 to the park's paved spur trail. A variety of winter activities are available at the park, including ice fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. It has 35 semi-modern campsites, 20 with electricity and two walk-in sites. Group campsites are also available.

Moose Lake State Park is a state park in Carlton County, Minnesota, near the city of Moose Lake. The park is one-half mile east of Interstate 35 at exit 214. The park is accessible through County Highway 137. Moose Lake State Park opened in 1971. The park covers 1,194 acres in total.

Vegetation and wildlife

The park's open spaces, along with mature hardwood stands, provide home for a diverse range of wildlife species. There are beavers, skunks, porcupines, and Franklin and Richardson's Ground Squirrels. Trumpeter Swans, Mallard and Wood Ducks, Common Loons, Woodpeckers, Crowned Kinglets, Warblers, Catbirds, and Cedar Waxwings are among the many bird species.

The park rents out fishing equipment, birding kits, children's activity kits, rowboats, canoes, and kayaks. There are 5.5 miles of hiking trails that wind through thick pines, past a wildlife observation area, and alongside Echo Lake.

It's a little museum, but it's charming and full of agates. There are several agates on show in the museum space, as well as some informational displays.
