The Wildcat Hills State Recreation Area, located 10 miles south of Gering, protects 531 acres of rocky bluffs. With elevations of up to 5,000 feet, this area is home to bobcats, bighorn sheep, and towering evergreens. Hike, mountain bike, camp, or simply relax and enjoy the crow's-eye vista of the North Platte River Valley.
EditA valid Nebraska park entry permit is required for all vehicles entering the area. Annual and daily permits are available at both the Nature Center and Shooting Sports complex and can be used at any other State Park in Nebraska.
