Maheshkhali is the only hilly island in Bangladesh. You have to travel by boat to reach the Upazila from Cox's Bazar. So first you have to come to Cox’s Bazar. After boating, You can easily come back from Maheshkhali to Cox’s Bazar having a short distance. Besides, there is little scope to stay in Moheshkhali. So, it is a better option to come back to Cox’s Bazar for accommodation.

Moheshkhali island is 15km away from the Cox’s Bazar district. You can hire full boat to go there from Cox's Bazar. It will cost more or less BDT 2000-2500 for up- down with 1-2 hours staying at the island.
