EditShaniwarwada is an ancient fortress in the Maharashtra city of Pune. It was predominantly a home for the Peshwa, covering across acres. Bajirao erected it in 1732, and it remained as the main headquarters of the Maratha Empire's Peshwas until 1818. Especially after the introduction of the Maratha Empire in the 18th century, the palace became the focal point of Indian politics.
