Banana Reef is located inside North Male Atoll in Maldives. It is one of the first diving sites to be discovered in Maldives. The reef gets it's unique name because of it's shape like a banana. The reef is a spectacular place for beginners and advanced divers. The site is a protected marine area. Along with diving,divers can walk around to the western end till 15 meters down with plenty of fishes around, including black snapper, barracudas, oriental sweetlips,sharks. The reef is an excellent option for the new divers to start their training along with a truly magical underwater experience.

The Reef ranges in depth from 5 to 30 meters. The Reef is bestowed with ornate caves,overhanging cliffs, soft corals and vibrant coloured marine lives. Tourists can go for diving in night time as well,and needless to say the nocturnal underwater experience is matchless.
