It is a smaller replica of Swayambhunath,and is believed that the Stupa was built by the materials that were left after building Swayambhunath. The people who can not visit Swayambhunath temple can get the equal experience by visiting it. There is a two storeyed temple of goddess Harati in the northwest corner.
