Haripur Jamidar Bari

chandra Chadpur

Haribur Barbari brings back so many memories for me. My family and I used to visit this place a lot when we were resided in Brahmanbaria. I remember spending hours there everytime we went there, and  I kid you not, I discovered a new thing every time! As far as I remember, the palace has not one but EIGHT stair cases at six sides of it and a total of 14 bedrooms inside!

Amjhupi Neelkuthi

Meherpur

This kuthi holds so much historic importance. This archaeological site was established during the English reign and apparently it bears the testimony of torture and exploitation of Kenny, Simpsons, James heel, Fergun Crawford, Warts, Hamillton and many other English rulers. It was originally built for indigo cultivation then it was used as the court office of the East India Company. It's only 173 km away from Dhaka so anyone can visit the place easily.

Floating Guava Market

Atghar - Nobogram Rd,Jhalokati

The floating guava market located over the Kritipasha canal at Bhimruli is one of the most scenic markets ever. Local farmers there harvest guavas from the nearby orchards and collectively sell them on their boats. Tons of boats float around on the canal filled with guavas! And the market undoubtedly is all over the place in harvest seasons!

Sunset Point

Latachapli, Patuakhali

Very good experience! Went there with some friends and had the most chill time. Watching the sun set in front of your bare eyes is truly amazing, that too from such a nice hill top. There's also a boat riding point just beside sunset point, and the scenery is just too beautiful to look at! Also, if you’re taking your private car/bus, they have well organized parking area for you and as the place is run by Army, they can promise you 100% security. This place deserves morning visits only though.

Jakob Tower

Charfasson Sadar, Bhola

One of the best things about Bhola island is this tower. Whoever lives around should pay a visit to this place. A place like this in our country really deserves more praise. The roof top lets us see around an area of almost 40 kilometers and the entire tower is able to accommodate 50 visitors on each floor which makes it 500 visitors throughout the tower. Starting from the architecture, the accommodation of each floor is just impressive!

Bhatpara Nilkuthi and Eco park

Meherpur

Bhatpara Nilkuthi and Eco park is one of the best locations for recreation in Meherpur! The place is located at Saharbati, Gangni, Meherpur and its natural attraction is mesmerizing! Also, when I went back in 2018, the place was open everyday including the weekends so you could visit anytime. I believe such parks are necessary to be a part of our small cities for recreation purposes.

China Matir Pahar

Jamalpur

The beautiful China matir pahar is just as pretty as the blue lake of birishiri around it! The seven hillocks present gives us such nice greenery and also gives us an opportunity to hike there! Hiking to the hill seems very eventful because of its colorful soil! And that color of course comes from the rainbow above it. To bare eyes, it sometimes seems like the clay is burnt but in reality it's just how the clay normally looks!

Egarosindur Fort

Kishoreganj

Such a nicely built medieval fort in the Kishoreganj district under Pakundia Upazila. The place is connected with the name of Isa Khan and the term “Egaro Sindhu” here implies “eleven rivers”. The fort is named as such due to it once having the confluence of numerous rivers (Banar, Shitalakshya, Arial Khan, Giyara Sunda etc.) The architecture of the fort is just mesmerizing and neat. Absolutely recommend this place a 10/10!

Pailgaon Zamindar Bari

Sunamganj

One of the remarkable old structures of Jagannathpur in Sunamganj is the Pailgaon Zamindar Bari. It is a whopping 300 years old palace established on 5.5 acres of land. This zamindar bari belonged to a family and the last person of the family was Brajendra Narayan Chowdhury. He was also a famous politician of that time and member of the congress of Sylhet. These factors make the Zamindar bari very interesting and historic.

Baliati Jamidar bari

Saturia, Manikganj, Dhaka

The palace has remarkable features I must say! Went from a friend's place in Manikganj, travelled about 8km and there it was! The owner, Gobinda Ram Saha was one hell of a lucky man to be living in such a big palace covering almost 2400 m^2 of land! Such royalty and aesthetics is not something you find every day. It almost felt like I was a part of a zamindar family when I set my foot inside. A must visit for archaeology enthusiasts!

Mughal Tahakhana

Chapainawabganj

Visited this place in 2018! Great visit, the three storied building goes by the meaning "cold building" and the fact itself is interesting! Apparently, the then Subahdar of Bengal (also the founder of the place) said this to be a temperature control unit mainly for comfort in winter. We were initially in Chapa Nawabganj District and decided to visit the Mughal Tahakhana which was only 15km from there, so the journey wasn't inconvenient at all.
