Beauty boarding was the best place in old Dhaka for writers, politicians, and organizers since the British era. During Pakistan's war against India in 1971, the Pakistani army killed Pallab Saha and 17 others inside this historic Beauty Boarding.

I, with my family, had a great quality time there exploring the historical building. We tried the tasty foods of that place. To reach there, we first went to Banglabazar, Old Dhaka. Banglabazar is the largest publication and book market of Dhaka. Then we found out the house no.1 in Shris Das Lane road. It's a building in yellow color surrounded by yellow walls. There's a small gate to welcome the tourists.

You will get some delicious classic foods here at a reasonable price. Vaat, daal, vegetable curry, vorta, ilish curry, shorisha ilish, ilish egg, doi, dalna, chingri, nola fish, shorputi fish, foli fish curry and so on. Shorshe ilish is the most famous dish here. The foods are cooked maintaining the basic hygiene. So you can trust the dishes to be safe for health as well as pocket friendly.
