Ilish park and resort is located in Kalapara area of Kuakata in Patuakhali district. We know Ilish as the Bengali term for Hilsa Fish; which also happens to be the national fish of Bangladesh. The reason for the name of this park is because there is an ilish statue which is 72 feet long and this statue is a restaurant itself. This is the largest hilsa fish statue in the world. Eliot Bridge

Sirajganj

Visited the place back in 2019! Absolutely gorgeous view of the river from the bridge! Its only 105km from Dhaka so going there wasn’t very inconvenient. Went to Sirajganj by a bus first, then took a leguna to the bridge. There were small fast food vendors nearby so snacking opportunities were there too! The weather was nice too so it made the river view more pleasant. Last but not least, if you’re into nature photography, that is the place for you.

11 Shiv Temple

Jessore

The temple is something to be proud of a Bangladeshi! Such a nicely architected temple in the Bhatpara village in Abhyanagar Upazila. The terracotta plaques of this place is the most attractive feature. The 11 temples inside are put together in a very orderly manner – eight (four each side) are seen in the western and eastern side and two temples in the south and one on the north are put together!

Baliati Jamidar bari

Saturia, Manikganj, Dhaka

10/10 recommended. The palace is HUGE! Some people say some of its prasads were used for business purposes. I could only think of how hard they worked inside when I visited the place. And not only the place is huge, it has seven palaces inside;covering about 5.88 acres of land. There’s also a pond at the back of it as a cherry on top! To be able to visit these palaces in Bangladesh is just remarkable.
