This is a Shiv temple, hence a religious place. Shiv prayers are held here. An enormous Nandi statue (divine bull of Shiv) is placed here. A celebration is held every year in Shiv Ratri here. A lot of people come to join. A colorful fair is also arranged that night at this place.

Baro Shibaloy Mondir is situated at a place named Amla in Joypurhat. It is a historical temple. Nobody knows surely of its origin & establishment. This is a shiv temple consisting of twelve 'Aloys'. That's why it's called "baro shibaloy". This place gave us great architectural pleasure.

This is a holy place consisting of 12 Shiv temples. This is an ancient temple with classic structural beauty in white. River Jamuna is flowing by its side which increases its beauty even more. We really enjoyed visiting this place.

The constructional origin of this temple is unknown. But the temple is designed with terracotta curving, that's why it's assumed that this temple was established during the reign of the Sens. They were strong devotees of Shiv. That's another fact proving the point. This is a magnificent vast temple to visit.
